It is no surprise that the rate of firearm-related violence in Sweden is highly increasing. Please read two of my previous posts on this notion here and here. According to the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (Brottsförebyggande rådet, BRÅ), Skåne, the southernmost province of Sweden, and its largest city, Malmö, are more affected by shootings and firearm-related violence than any other province and city in the country.
In order to have a clear statistic over the firearm-related violence in the Skåne province, I have since 1st of January 2018 gathered statistics on the rate of shootings based on open-sources (=media), in which at least one person has been wounded or killed.
This is the statistics until 6th March 2018:
Amount of shootouts | 7 |
Wounded | 6 |
Killed | 3 |
Sex of victims | All male |
