Profile
I am an Associate Professor, Lund University, as well as a Senior Lecturer in Emergency Medicine and a Senior Consultant in Emergency Medicine. I hold academic degrees in medicine, criminology, police science, political science and intelligence analysis, which gives my research and teaching a distinctly interdisciplinary profile.
In medicine, my research concerns, among other things, prehospital care and violence-related trauma, with particular focus on emergency medicine, chains of care and outcomes following trauma. In criminology and police science, I work on gang violence, offender profiling and the relationship between psychiatric illness and violent crime, both in research and in education.
In political science and intelligence analysis, I study the structure and function of intelligence services as well as espionage and counterespionage. This includes foreign intelligence operations, counterintelligence strategies, Iran's security institutions and their political role.
