Emergency medicine in Iran: the history and the question of gender equality

Abstract
The history of emergency care in Iran dates to the 5th of December 1974 when parts of the roof of the Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran collapsed. Sixteen individuals were killed and 11 were injured.
