On 14 February, during one of the largest Iranian diaspora demonstrations ever held in Europe, I addressed the crowd in Munich — together with a Swedish parliamentary delegation consisting of Nima Gholam Ali Pour (Sweden Democrats) and Magnus Berntsson (Christian Democrats).
More than 250,000 Iranians, who had gathered from across Europe at the call of Shahzadeh Reza Pahlavi, demanded an end to the Islamic Republic and stood in solidarity with those risking their lives inside Iran.
My dear compatriots,
Today, here in Munich, we stand united.
We are not here only to show solidarity with our brave sisters and brothers inside Iran — those who risk everything for dignity, for democracy, for freedom. We are also here to send a message. A very clear message. In fact — two messages.
One to the murderous regime of Ali Khamenei. And one to the free world.
To Khamenei and his regime: Your time is over.
You may imprison bodies. You may torture souls. You may silence voices. But you cannot stop a nation that has already decided to be free.
And let me say this clearly: Our people inside Iran are watching us. They are looking to us outside. They draw strength from our voices.
And to the free world, our message is just as clear: Iran may be thousands of kilometers away. Iran may feel distant. But you already feel the consequences.
The Islamic Republic murders Iranians — but its violence does not stop at Iran’s borders.
It supplies weapons to Russia. It exports terror. It conducts assassinations on European soil.
This regime is not only an Iranian tragedy. It is a European problem.
But hear the Iranian people: We want no deals with this regime. We want no negotiations with our oppressors. We want the return of our king — His Majesty Reza Pahlavi.
So today, we ask you: Listen to the voices inside Iran. Listen to this crowd gathered here.
Isolate the regime.
Paralyze the regime.
Close its diplomatic missions.
Expel its ambassadors. End the normalization of tyranny.
We are not asking for charity. We are demanding justice.
We are not begging for freedom. We are claiming it.
Iran will be free. And history will remember who stood on the right side.
