On March 14, one of the largest demonstrations in Scandinavia was held in Stockholm. The demonstration gathered over 20,000 Iranians from across Scandinavia, and I had the immense honor of speaking before this massive crowd.
Dear compatriots!
We stand here today at a decisive moment in history. For over forty years, the Islamic Republic has ruled Iran with terror, lies, and violence. For over forty years, they have tried to convince the world that they are a great power. That they are strong. That they are invincible. But what do we see now?
When the regime faces real resistance… it collapses like a house of cards.
The regime’s supreme leader – the tyrant Ali Khamenei – is dead. The military structure that was supposed to protect the regime lies in ruins. The regime’s airspace is controlled by others. And the missiles the regime boasted about for decades… could not protect them. Everything they built their propaganda on has proven to be an illusion. A façade. A lie.
And when a dictatorship feels weak… it always does the same thing. It attacks its own people. Not only in Iran. But also us in the diaspora. You have read the news in recent days. You know that my own brother, Arvin Khoshnood, was subjected to an assassination attempt in Malmö. Individuals linked to criminal networks working for the regime tried to silence us.
They wanted to frighten us. They wanted to make us silent. But I say to them here today: You did not scare us. It is you who are hiding today.
Many are now asking: Who is alive? Who is dead? Who will be eliminated next in Iran? But let me say something very clearly in Farsi:
Inha, morde o zendashon hich farghi nadarand. Jomhorie Eslami morde ast.
(They are the same, dead or alive — it makes no difference. The Islamic Republic is dead.)
But my friends — history does not end when a dictatorship falls. History begins then. And that is why we must now do something very important. We must show the world who the Iranian people want. We must stand behind the one person who can lead Iran toward freedom, modernity, and stability. Our king, Reza Pahlavi.
This is exactly what our brothers and sisters are chanting inside Iran. From Kurdistan. From Baluchistan. From Azerbaijan. Gilan. Ahvaz. Tehran. Yes — from an entire Iran. They are calling for our king, Reza Pahlavi.
And to the leaders of the world I say: Do not listen to me. Do not only listen to the thousands standing here today. Do not even listen to the 250,000 Iranians who gathered in Munich in February. Listen to the millions of Iranians who took to the streets in Iran. Listen to the young men and women who died for freedom. Listen to their last words before the bullets pierced their chests. What did they shout?
They shouted: JAVID SHAH! (Long live the Shah!)
